There's a Man in the Throne Room

Okay.
Real talk.
I am currently sitting on the precipice of a nearly twenty-year streak of—hard.
I find myself trying to reconcile the current real estate in several buckets of my life and the ever-lengthening disparity between where I am and where I thought I would be.
Thank God there’s at least one practice where I have rarely, if ever, wavered—the discipline of a daily life before God in His Word.
In my reading today, I came upon Romans 8:34, which says,
“Who then is left to condemn us? Certainly not Jesus, the Anointed One! For He gave His life for us, and even more than that, He has conquered death and is now risen, exalted, and enthroned by God at His right hand. So how could He possibly condemn us since He is continually praying for our triumph?”

The New King James calls Jesus—The Intercessor.
Let’s take some inventory. Jesus, the High Priest. Jesus, the one hundred percent God, one hundred percent man. Jesus, the One seated at the right hand of Almighty God in the throne room after uttering the words: “It is finished.” Jesus, the One whose body served as a sacrifice for the atonement and annihilation of our sin, now has a full-time job in heaven.
He is “the” Intercessor, and He’s praying—for you.
Needless to say, I was hijacked and fully wrecked by the overwhelming reality that even in those moments when I feel furthest from where I hoped to be, there’s a Man in heaven who fully identifies with the realities of my existence, whose full-time objective is to rend the heavens over my life through the power of intercession.
The God of angel armies is “shondai-ing” down angelic resources at your disposal, the wind of the Holy Spirit at your back, favor and opportunities, and praying “on earth as it is in heaven” over every aspect and dimension of your life!
Take heart, friend.
There’s a Man in the throne room, and He’s praying—for you.
